I was also nervous about meeting them and nervous about leaving Ezra and Iris overnight. Turns out I should've been more nervous about getting lost in a v. suspect end of town that smelled mysteriously of hot dogs.
We met at the hotel and there were hugs and belly laughs and my lingering cough that made me want to reassure them that I don't have a two pack a day habit. We chatted like we knew each other but wanted to know more.
We ate some ridiculously tasty Mexican food, saw Magic Mike, shopped, ate dinner and drank kicky drinks.
I am still worried that I said things that were stupid or too off-the-cuff or asked questions that were too prying. And to feel that way is strange because it's combined with missing them and feeling sad when we said "goodbye."
It was a good weekend. They are good friends.

Well I was left with the feeling that perhaps I over-shared, so maybe we were even. I didn't find your questions prying or inappropriate, btw.
What surprised me was how not awkward it was. I was immediately comfortable with all of you, and I think that proves that the internet is a pretty fantastic place.
Do you have long hair...in a braid?
Mexican food, sexy movie, shopping and drinking? So jealous I couldn't have been there to cougar shit up because that sounds like the absolute perfect day to me. Awesome.
So jealous! This is looks great. I'm so looking forward to the Blathering, but I'd like smaller gatherings, too, in addition to my one BIG blog gathering a year.
Awwww! Love this! I've organized quite a few blogger/tweetups locally in Richmond, VA and we've all followed one another for so long it's like we're already true friends.
David doesn't get how I can meet "strangers" like that but we're NOT strangers! He can talk to and regularly play games with the same people on X-box live like it's no big deal! No difference to me!
I think it's a great way to meet people who are truly truly into you for who you are, rather than old friends who are really still friends because of familiarity and length of time knowing each other, but maybe you just don't have much in common anymore.
So fun!
Don't be silly - you were perfection. & now I miss you terribly.
Aww, awesome. (Still jealous!)
