I love it. And, frankly, it was the ONLY dress that I have found that I liked. It seems as if almost every dress I saw fell into one of these categories:
For Work
For Prom
For Working the Pole
For Casual Whatnot
How can this be the case? Designers need to branch the eff out for gals in their late 30s and attending a wedding. At any rate, I ordered it. A co-worker and I measured my length using a wooden ruler and we're both hoping that 34" doesn't end being hoochie short. We shall see.
At any rate, I know that you all are very fashionable and that your appearances vary and so I would like your help/input/assvice on how to style it: accessories, shoes, hair.
Details--
Accessories: Off the top of my head, I can't think of anything that I'm adverse to. Like, yellow gold is okay as is mixing colors. I find bracelets annoying after eight or so hours at work but could sport some/one if you happen to suggest one that looks fabulous.
Shoes: That model is wearing some sky-high wedges and I am down with high heels, but I need to be able to wrangle small fries and not be a handicapper the next day. Also, I am worried that something super high might make the dress that much more hoochie short. Who knows.
Hair: I have brown hair and blunt bangs and want my hair off my neck. Am getting my hair did for the occasion so my current skill set doesn't need to be a consideration. Leave that biznass to the professionals, I say.
So that's that.
Now send me your ideas!

Love the dress. It's going to be a gorgeous color on you!!
I am not a fashionista so I have nothing more to add other than I am certain you are going to look marvelous, hoochie or not.
OOHH I love that dress!! I think with the neck being all jazzy, you aren't going to need any type of necklace at all. Also, if yo hair is up, you can do some long pretty earrings. How do you feel about things rattling around near your ears? I don't ever wear bracelets or even think about them, so I have no suggestions there.
What kind of material is the dress made out of? Would some espadrilles (sp) be ok with them? Like some wedges or something? I'm also not good with hair. I just rip out photos from a magazine and let the lady go to work. Maybe you can do the same? You are going to look great! Make sure to get lots of pictures for us!
Love love love!! Could not love more!
I like the hair twisty thing from a couple posts back. It was super lovely and I think would look delicious with straight bangs and that dress.
I agree with Megan ... no need for a necklace given the neckline of the dress. I think some dangly earrings with an updo (maybe a high bun) would look super cute.
Also, I always prefer wedges for stability in the show area.
Love that dress (and that you were able to find something that doesn't make you look like you are working the pole.)
I actually think that, given hair up and that neckline, you've probably got plenty going on for the top half. Therefore I'd skip earrings, or go really small and instead throw a largish bracelet on there. Plus it might help balance out all the skin should it turn out to be too short.
Shoes are too hard to do without seeing it on you, but my general rule is that flats dehoochify pretty nicely. With that dress, it might help the length lean more Audrey Hepburn than...than...someone hoochy.
(Is it clear that I'm just making things up? Don't listen to me; I dress horribly.)
I'm kind of obsessed with this hair right now:

This too, but no bangs:

but maybe it could still work?
With sort of demure hair I'd be tempted to go a little whacky/rock and roll (rock and roll sounds so douchey...)Maybe throw on a skinny leopard belt and then a few gold bracelets and some crazy black shoes.
OR
Sparkly pewter jewelry/shoes, depending on whether it's conservative, whatnot.
That dress is awesome. I feel like there are 1000 ways to wear it. Good purchase! :)
I can't help, because I can't even dress myself, but I wanted to point out that I am ALSO a gal in her 30s attending a wedding (in two weeks) and can't find a good dress for it. So what I'm going to do is let everyone else comment on this post and then come back and steal all their suggestions.
I would go with a pair of cute earrings, and maybe a belt. (I belt everything) For shoes i would go with a smaller wedge if you're worried about the length, and kid chasing.
Agreed with commenters, no necklace. i think some delicate earrings would be lovely, nothing too dangly, but something sparkly for sure.
As for bracelets, I think sparkle always is a great addition, with that delicate lacy neckline I don't know how well a bulky, chunky cuff would go.
Wedges will definitely be more comfortable than heels, but I'd stick to either black leather/patent leather to dress it up a bit and stay away from nude shoes to avoid the loooong legs/border-line hoochiness with a potentially shorter length. Unless it's a more casual

Adorbs!
- I would forego a necklace.
- A nice pair of diamond stud earrings for sparkle on the earlobes!
- silver flats w/sparkle.
- I slicked back, low ponytail with straight bangs. simple, yet dramatic.
- a silver cuff bracelet perhaps OR a thin silver belt.
- maybe a leapord clutch.
ole!!
"Working the pole" heheh
Love the dress. I don't think it's going to be too short.
I'm thinking some low wedge sandals like these Sam Edelmans: http://0.tqn.com/d/shoes/1/0/L/d/1/low-wedge-heels.jpg
a fun cocktail ring, clutch that coordinates with your shoes/dress but doesn't match and small earrings since you have so much going on in the neck area.
The "working the pole" comment made me snort laugh since I just got back from Vegas. I can't tell you how many asses I saw hanging out of skin tight mini skirts. Not pretty.
As many others have stated "working the pole" made me LOL! And I agree it's hard to find just the right dress that is appropriate and fits right.
I think the color AND collar of this dress is snazzy enough that a nice pair of earrings and a simple chignon twist would look lovely. I am thinking maybe a pair of big single *pearl* earrings? I am really digging that idea with the hair & collar. Maybe an accent bracelet, gold? Some champagne-colored pumps?
LOVE, love the color of this dress and the color will be so pretty on you! The collar is stunning and is perfectly weddingish!
Here are a few of my ideas off the top of my head, for what my two cents are worth...
Earings: With the beautiful collar I think a simple earing or slight dangly would be pretty. Sparkly. I always vote for sparkly.
Hair: With the pulled back idea I love the pulled to one side at the nape of the neck look. Either in a bun/pony/or other twist thing...off to one side and low.
Other accessories: I think an awesome, big, ring would be so pretty and could be your statement piece! Again, sparkly. Along with a cute clutch purse let those two items speak alongside the awesome dress. If you forgo the ring idea I would vote for a bracelet...not too skimpy but not a massive one either. Tastefully in the middle that would catch attention but not DRAW attention! :)
Shoes: I agree that too high might be too much with the dress. Your height is already so beautiful so a nice pair of open toed not too high heal I think would do very nicely.
Good luck and I hope it all turns out more than you could have hoped for! PS...typing "color" and "collar" kept throwing the connection from my mind to my typing fingers for a mental/motor skill loop!!
