Perhaps you would like to know what I've accomplished around here? I will share with you:
- Oiling all of the wood baseboards and trim and the back of the stairs. This not only made our stairs downright treacherous, but made my hands greasier than lord knows what. But our wood shines! (Heh. I said "wood.")
- Organizing our office/dumping ground for all miscellaneous whatnot.
- Washing all of the windows inside
- Dusting and wiping down the wood rods and finials for our window treatments
- Scrubbing the light fixture in our bathroom that had some rust on it due to the scalding hot showers I like to take
- Cleaning out the garage and raking the yard and blowing the twigs off of the driveway
- Touching up paint through-out the house
- Re-doing (new wall hangings, bench with cubbies, sassy pillow, different rug) our back entryway
- Painting the swinging door between our dining room and kitchen
So, it feels good to be productive. It feels like...the old days--when all T and I did were spruce up the joint.
And here it is only Wednesday! I am a machine.

Want to come to my house and do all those sorts of jobs? I can offer a twin bed (we'll kick The Boy out of his) and plenty of sunshine and plenty of good food and drink ...
Did I mention I have homemade cinnamon rolls we could defrost and bake up?
Wow...you've been busy! I need to do all those things around here...starting with my daughter's closet!
Heh... you said rods...
Wow! You have been very productive! Oh wait, is that what life used to look like BC (before children)? Time, energy and the ability to do tasks around the house? Ummm... I don't know what that is any more. =)
You've inspired me to get things done around our house. Too bad I have no time to take off to get them done sans children.
ITA about the weekends... that's for rest and playtime, not work!
Wow! You have been very busy! Happy to hear that Iris is doing well with daycare!
Um, wow. I apparently need to go back to work. Seriously? I have had blue crayon on my wall for 9 months.
I love productive days off work! Wait, am we supposed to be productive AT work too? Damn.
Great job oiling your wood. And rods. I think your pillow isn't the only one who's sassy around your house ;)
You most definitely are a machine! I am longing for a week off so I can get all our house shiznit in order!
I was about to offer you a place at my house when I saw Hillary already offered Florida. Florida is better than Ohio.
I don't think I've ever dusted my baseboards, which makes me a little sad for my house.
I'm very impressed.
