Of course, fresh off the heals of Iris locking me in the basement yesterday morning there is no bloody way I'd let Senorita Sassypants access a wood burning stove. Come on. She'd burn the joint down, saving only her blankies.
In the meantime, I did manage to score in a major way a Little Tykes kitchen for only $20.00 from a very nice woman off CraigsList who let me pick it up and stuff it in the back of my car but two hours after I contacted her.
I then scrubbed the pants off it in our driveway during my lunchbreak from work and straight tore up my manicure from the bleach. Ah well.
I could not WAIT to show it to the small fries--both of whom bolted (well, Ezra crawled thanks in no part to a shot of Rocephin to clear up his ear infection. The Rocephin is like sludge so the shot in the thigh is anything but quick. Unbeknownst to him, he goes back for a second dose today. He's going to wig--gah. Anyway...) for the play room once they saw where I set it up.
Iris was particularly fond of the microwave and of shoving her brother's hands off anything she thought she should be playing with. Thing is, he doesn't shove her back (sweet boy). He may need to once she gets bigger as I have a feeling she's going to need some firmer boundaries.
Heh.

oh look at them playing together. Melt :)
Two things:
#1- I call Regan Senora Crankypants!
#2- I have to have that kitchen!
brother!! sister!! look at them together!!!! <3
My daughter would LOVE a kitchen like this. I'm jealous!
Love scoring the good deals! I wrangled a huge kitchen while junk pickin' during the free junk pick-up week in Elmhurst. I stuffed that in my trunk and drove home with the trunk open and bouncing. Put the old, free, not as good kitchen on our curb.
I have a curly and surly girly whom I call Feisty Pants. I have recently heard that it is not the gender, but the birth order.
Seriously pondering what would happen if Feisty Pants met Sassypants.
I can't believe you scored that for $20. I need lessons. LOVE the pics of Iris nuking lunch in the microwave. Too cute. E looks like a little man!
I have been wanting a kitchen desperately!!
Ohhhh that wee little kitchen (the one in Little Men, although yours is spiffy too). How I pined for it! Everything they made sounded perfectly heavenly! Foooooood.
