Would you still be my friend?

One of my favorite things to do is to ask my friends, "Would you still be my friend if I...(fill in the blank)?"  Often it's wearing a jenky outfit or walking a ridiculous way (which I always demonstrate) or something else ridiculous all together like eating scabs.  Friends always participate and are almost always loyal.  I have good friends.

Even T isn't exempt as he is sometimes asked, "Would you still have married me if I...had man hands?...had five kids?...had a lisp?...had a moustache?...ate mayonnaise out of the jar?"  He rolls his eyes, but he answers.  Usually with "no."

Anyway, I have been looking for a dress or something new and snazzy to wear to The Blathering (!!!).  Texas weather seems speshul, so I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for or even what I have in mind.

I browsed around and found some things that were not It.

Would you still be my friend if I wore these?

Pretty in a diaphanous/macaroni and cheese foodbaby enabling kind of way, the feedback on its effect on the female form were NOT kind.

I can tolerate a lot, & usually forgive most poor fashion choices, but I would NOT be seen in public with you if you wore that first one. Sorry :)

I am going to quietly pretend that one of those wasn't my outfit for Saturday night at the Blathering. You'll never know which because obviously I'm getting something else now that you've made fun of it.

Well, a couple of these are worse than others. You would certainly make a memorable first impression that way!

I'm with Clarabella. I might have to draw the line on the first one. Or maybe just sneak up behind you and rip off the bottom.

Oh, K, of course I would still be your friend if you wore any of those. I love them all and think you would look particularly smashing in the teal hooker dress. Can I borrow it afterwards? Pllllleeeaaaasssseeeee?

I will not be your friend, regardless of what you wear, if you look prettier than me.

I would be more likely to be your friend if you wore that little blue number :-) haha

It is a sad, sad world we live in. Who designs those dresses! (#2, #4 and #5, I'm particularly looking at you).

Lawsy.

No way, I won't be your friend if you show up in the same dress as me.

Oh my. I soooo play this game with Michael all the time and I think it drives him cray-zay. So glad to know I'm not alone.

I would still be your friend, but I'd want one of those Men in Black wands to erase your memory and then I'd steal the dress and put you in something sassy so your new bloggy friends didn't make fun of you behind your back.

Of course, this is coming from someone who currently looks 6 months pregnant, yet is not pregnant, who mostly wears stretchy pants. So there.

Yes, I would still be your friend. I would try one of those things where I pretend like I'm kidding but I'm really serious and you would have to figure out which. Like, "Wow, what a dress! Are your thighs cold?"

Most of those are ridiculous, though I have to say, while I would not wear the second to last one, I wouldn't think it was odd if someone wore it.
