Start to finish: bedrooms, bathrooms and office/loft

This house tour is starting to feel kind of ridiculous so I'm going to wrap this party up and and just do all of the second floor at once.

Office/loft:

Details:
  • The Sherwin-Williams wall color is a continuation of the hallway and stairwell color from downstairs--Windfresh White.
  • Desk and chair and printer stand: IKEA
  • Clock: Target
  • Chairs: Ballard Designs
  • Book care: Land of Nod
  • Pillows: Target
  • Drapes and hardware: Target
  • Puppet theater: Amazon
  • Nightly entertainment: Iris

I recently ordered these organizational pieces (two letter bins + two corkboards) to hang on the wall that the clock is on. This family generates a mega crapton of paper and I don't cope well with piles.

Master bathroom:

Details:

  • The wall color is Rain.
  • Handyman Steve hung the mirror and added the vanity hardware. The electrician swapped out the lights and the plumber swapped out the faucets and shower hardware. Tub faucets and drains are trickier to find so I am still working on that.
  • Originally, T hung a towel bar underneath the wall prints--which you can see in that awesome picture of what the bathroom looked like the day we moved in--but I thought it was ugly so I removed it and patched and painted the spot. Instead I put a hook on the back of the door and just hang my towel there.
  • Mirror: Restoration Hardware
  • Vanity light: Lowe's
  • Faucets: Lowe's
  • Vanity pulls: Amazon
  • Wall shelf and small bowls: Target
  • Curtain rod and cafe curtain: Target
  • Prints: IKEA
  • Cut metal letters: Etsy

Kids' bathroom:

Details:

  • The wall color is Kilim Beige--same as in the dining room and laundry room.
  • Like in the master bathroom, we had the mirrors, lights, and faucets changed. Handyman Steve also added the vanity hardware and hung the branch towel hooks.
  • Mirror: Lowe's
  • Vanity light: Lowe's
  • Faucet: Lowe's
  • Branch hooks: Amazon
  • Shower curtain and towels: West Elm
  • Bird canvases: Land of Nod

Ezra's bedroom:

Details:
  • The wall color is Rainwashed.
  • The bed and book cover wall prints and the very lean-y stuffed lion are from our old house.
  • Rocket ship canvases: Target
  • Rug: Rugs USA
  • Desk chair, book shelf and desk: Land of Nod
  • Little red table to act as shrine to Legos: Target
  • Floor cushion: Amazon
  • Floor lamp: Target
  • Curtain hardware: Target
  • Drapes: Pier One

Ezra's closet is a walk-in, so his dresser and the bulk of his toys are in there.

Iris' bedroom:

Details:
  • The wall color is White Beet.
  • The tiny desk and chair as well as the vintage travel poster prints are from our old house. I took the ones that had more pink in them for Iris' room in this house while the others are in the powder room downstairs.
  • Bookshelf: Land of Nod
  • Lamp: Target
  • Rug: Target
  • Pouf: Amazon
  • Bed: IKEA
  • Drapes and hardware: Target
Iris' closet is a reach-in closet, so we had the existing wire shelving removed and instead had dresser drawers installed along with four rods for hanging clothes.

If anything in the house were different, I do wish the kids' rooms were a bit bigger--but we've figured out how to store their toys (in their closets + baskets in the family room + using the intended linen closet as their main toy spot--the linens I just then put in the guest bedroom walk-in closet) and books and clothes so it's fine.

Guest bedroom:

(I guess no progress pics here. The ugly stepchild of bedrooms?)

Details:
  • The wall color is one shade darker than Ezra's room. It is Quietude.
  • The wall hangings are from the family room in our old house
  • Bed and nightstands: IKEA
  • Lamps: Home Decorators
  • Rug: Target
  • Chair: World Market
  • Drapes and hardware: Target

Our bedroom:

Details:

  • The wall color is Tradewind which is one shade darker than the bathroom.
  • Rug: Amazon
  • Chair: World Market
  • Ottoman: Target
  • Side table: Target
  • Lamp: Target
  • Bed: Target
  • Nightstands: Overstock
  • Drapes and hardware: Target
  • Corner tv stand: Ballard Designs
  • (my landy Target is featuring prominently here)

So there you have it, folks. The house.

You have a wonderful Model Husband. I love everything about this! Love the paint in Iris' room. Love the sophistication of your room. Love the book prints in E's room (I know you said from old house but they look lovely in his new room). Our old house in DC was painted Quietude on the exterior so I have a soft spot for that too.

I love all the blue! This children having their own bathroom is glorious, can I say? I grew up in a one bathroom household (100 year old house) and then a house with 1.5 bathrooms and now a house with 3.5 bathrooms. And we USE THEM ALL!

Great. I'll be there in a few days to park in your guest bedroom. I'll even take Taco on walks to earn my keep. :)

Also, GORGEOUS house. Love.

See: why I'm moving in.
